Rose and I were talking on the phone one evening and she was telling me about a deal she had made with Christopher to get him to sleep in his own bed. Their king sized bed had been accepting the entire family for their evening rest. Apparently, Christopher wanted a dog really, really bad. So Rose told him that if he started sleeping in his own bed she would get him a dog. I asked her how it was going. She said Chris started to sleep in his bed as soon as the deal had been struck. So I asked her what kind of dog she was going to get and she said she wasn't getting one. I was horrified and got into preacher mode. But being Rose, she eventually caved in and finally got their dog, Shelby. Funny how things work out. Rose and Shelby became quite enamoured with one another. Shelby is a good and loyal pet/friend and Rose returned all the love to Shelby in equal measure.
