Rose At Home

Speaking of their house, I just recently heard the story of how they came to buy it. It was because of the stairway landing which is open to the living room below. Glenn shared this special moment with me when he told me about it. He said that Rose was standing on this stairway landing looking down at him in the living room. With the biggest smile and her face lit up, Rose said, “I just love this house”. Glenn made the decision to buy it right then and there. The same day he told me this, he shared another of their moments with me. He said that she would be sitting in a chair in the living room and she would put her legs out in front of her and sort of bounce them up and down. One night he felt her looking at him and he said “what”? She smiled at him and said, “I’m just so happy.” This was our Rose. Sweet. Cuddly. Adorable. Loving. Caring. Giving. And she really, really loved her husband Glenn. My Mom told me how Rose would never disagree with anything Glenn said or did. If she did disagree, she merely looked at him and smiled this cute little smile that said it all. She didn’t have to say a word but still got her message across. I don’t know why I didn’t remember this myself, because I can clearly picture in my mind seeing her do this. I can’t ever remember a time when they would argue or disagree in any way with anger. Rose had a very special way about her. It’s no wonder Glenn adored her. And what man wouldn’t cherish someone so ideally suited to him. They were perfect together.
