I remember one night we went to a Chinese restaurant just off Roosevelt Blvd. We were with Glenn’s family. I can’t recall much more about the evening but I clearly remember one of the Check family members telling our waiter that it was Jim’s birthday. The reason they did this was because the restaurant would present the birthday boy with some 7 delight ice cream plate with enough ice cream to feed everyone at the table. It was hilarious, but oh so bad to have done. That was a fun night.
