As the years went on, we all experienced some of the challenges of life as well as the joys. When it came time for Rose to marry the man of her dreams, namely Glenn, she presented me with the noble distinction of being her Maid of Honor. Rose and Glenn and Jim and I had developed a close relationship spending a good deal of time together, so I was thrilled with the privilege of standing for her. Rose had the wedding that most girls dreams about. She looked like a fairytale princess she was so beautiful. Although the day was dreadfully hot and humid, and the wedding was a full mass religious rite in a church with no air conditioning, Rose managed to remain focused on what was taking place. She was marrying the only man she ever loved (besides Dad of course) and she radiated with this love. Glenn did the same. It was as if they had been made for each other and they would begin their journey of life and love with eyes for only each other.
